Leicester Notes Reclaimed Pitch Pine Wine Rack
Leicester Notes a reclaimed pitch pine wine rack. The timber used to create this rack once formed part of a large warehouse in Leicester. These large industrial building were constructed in the mid 19th century.
Built between 1840-1910 to cope with the booming manufacturing industry of the time. Gradually due to the decline in industry these building were bought up by property developers.
Timbers like this one were removed when many of the building were converted into flats.
We were able to obtain this beam from a large reclamation yard & give it a new lease of life as a wine rack. Now fully refurbished the Leicester Notes can hold 6 bottles of your favourite wine.
This simply stunning piece features the original slot mortises & refurbished metal pins.
