Foxton Trio

Foxton Trio is made from a piece of reclaimed English oak. The timber was rescued from the much loved Leicestershire landmark Foxton Locks. Designed in 1810 as an industrial solution. The locks allow canal boats and
commercial barges to travel up an inclined slopes.  Foxton Locks is made up 10 locks laid out in two ‘staircases’ of five locks each.

The locks can be found on the Leicester line of the Grand Union Canal. Not only does it form an amazing addition to the appearance of the surrounding countryside but the Foxton locks are recognised as the largest flight of such staircase locks in the English canal system. The whole site was subject a huge renovation project between 2006 & 2008 which is when Sticks & Stone were able to rescue the timbers.
